We Rock

I've only furtively expressed my love and obsession with both Tina Fey and 30 Rock, but the time has come for me to yodel my profession on the top of a mountain. When I watched the first episode of 30 Rock, I foolishly decided it wasn't for me (yet continued to watch Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.) But as I kept hearing great things about it, I bought the first season on DVD and caught up with season two. And behold, an intense but justifiable fixation was born. Unfortunately, last season saw the coming and passing of the writer's strike that paralyzed TV for months, and the second season was cut short. So, I was forced to wait anxiously for this third season to come. When it finally came time for the shows to come back, I discovered a terrible thing. 30 Rock was not coming back until October 30th. It was hard to be strong, but I've held on so far. Luckily, Oprah will grace the show with her almighty presence on the second episode back. Until then, us junkies will have to get our fix from either Tina Fey's Sarah Palin on SNL or the newly released second season DVD.

Jennifer Aniston to 30 Rock

This year appears to be the year of the guest star. From Michael Kors on Gossip Girl, Lindsay Lohan on Ugly Betty, Nicole Richie on Chuck, all the way to Mary-Kate Olsen on Samantha Who, Britney's starting trends again and this one is in full swing! So who does 30 Rock, that's managed to nab Jerry Seinfeld and possibly Oprah, get to fill their quota? Why, Jennifer Aniston! This is a pretty big get for 30 Rock, since it appears that she has an intense phobia of TV or anything that is at all related to Friends. But who will she play? Details haven't been released just yet, but keep checking back here!
Update:She will be playing Claire Harper, Liz Lemon's former roommate who comes back and apparently stalks Jack!

Ugly Betty Can't Stop Finding Love

Photobucket
A lot of stuff went down on last season's finale of Ugly Betty. Lindsay Lohan guest starred in a random and confusing opening flashback sequence, Wilhelmina finally became editor and chief of Mode, leaving Daniel out of a job, and Betty had some decisions to make. For someone considered so ugly, she sure does have a lot of romantic interests. First there was Walter, a nerd who worked at a Best Buy-like establishment and then moved to Maryland, and eventually there was Henry, a nerdy accountant at Mode who's had some romantic drama of his own, and then all of a sudden a sandwich maker named Gio showed up. As Betty got over the loss of Henry in her life, she agreed to go to Rome with Gio. Almost on cue, Henry showed up begging her to move to Tuscon with him. The end of the last season showed Betty leaving the house with a suitcase, but didn't exactly give any hints. Now it seems we know what she did, so to find out
It looks like Betty chooses neither. Christopher Gorham, who plays Henry, is signed on to pilots for CBS, and Freddy Rodriguez is reportedly signed on for only more episode, as well as multiple projects including the thriller Identity with Timothy Hutton. That doesn't mean that Betty's loveless. Val Emmich, who guest starred in 30 Rock last season as Liz Lemon's younger love interest, will appear on Ugly Betty next season as a possible new love interest. Elsewhere in the UB world, Eddie Cibrian will reprise his role as Justin's gym teacher who is having his own thing with Betty's sister Hilda. And make sure to watch out for Lindsay Lohan again when she returns for a series of episodes.
